Nagano Station ⇄ Hakuba Route
SNOWLINER operates four round-trip services each day, connecting Nagano Station East Exit directly with four main stops in the Hakuba area.
This route is convenient after arriving at Nagano Station by the Hokuriku Shinkansen and for returning to Nagano after skiing in Hakuba.

Walking from the Shinkansen platform to the East Exit takes time. Do not plan to arrive at Nagano Station at the scheduled bus departure time.

A flat fare applies between Nagano Station and every SNOWLINER stop in the Hakuba area.

This route stops only at Tsugaike Kogen A. Stops A, B and C are separate locations. Do not go to Stop B or Stop C.

How to Book SNOWLINER
Choose your date and direction
Confirm the date, passenger count, direction of travel and preferred Hakuba stop.
Select your preferred service
Choose the service that matches your itinerary from SL651 to SL658 and confirm its departure time.
Submit your reservation request
Enter your name, email address, travel date, passenger count, boarding and drop-off locations and baggage details.
Confirm your seat and complete payment
We will contact you after checking seat availability. Review the reservation details and complete payment using the specified method.
Receive your reservation confirmation
After payment and the reservation procedure are complete, we will send a confirmation. Show it on your phone when boarding.
Submitting a request does not confirm your reservation. Your booking is confirmed only after availability has been checked, payment has been completed and you have received the confirmation.
Ski, Snowboard and Baggage Rules
- Skis and snowboards may be stored in the baggage compartment.
- There is generally no specific item limit when baggage remains within the standard size restrictions.
- Total baggage weight must not exceed 30 kg and must not inconvenience other passengers.
- Oversized baggage may require the purchase of an additional seat at half the adult fare, which is ¥1,500.
Passenger and baggage space is limited. Tell us in advance if you will bring several pieces of ski equipment, an oversized ski or snowboard bag, or other special baggage.
Reservation Check at Boarding
Staff will confirm the name of the lead passenger. If you do not speak Japanese, show the part of your booking confirmation containing your name, bus service and boarding and drop-off points.
Buses generally depart on time. Arrive at the designated meeting point early. You may be unable to board if you arrive late.

How long does the bus take from Nagano Station to Hakuba?
The journey takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to Hakuba 47 and about 1 hour 50 minutes to Tsugaike Kogen A. Snowfall, road conditions and congestion may increase travel time.
Can I book on the day of travel?
Same-day bookings may be accepted when seats are available. Reservations close once the bus is full. Advance booking is recommended during the peak ski season.
Can I reserve a specific seat?
No. This route uses non-reserved seating throughout the bus. Follow staff instructions when boarding.
Are adult and child fares the same?
Yes. The one-way fare is ¥3,000 per person for both adults and children.
Can I bring skis or a snowboard?
Yes. Baggage must meet the size restrictions and the total weight must not exceed 30 kg. Tell us in advance if you will bring oversized baggage or several items.
