Yes. KRB provides private ski and snowboard lessons in Nozawa Onsen with English support. Chinese-speaking instructors are also available.

For winter 2026–2027, private lesson prices are 37,500 JPY for 2.5 hours, 56,000 JPY for 4 hours, 72,000 JPY for 6 hours, 117,500 JPY for 2 days / 10 hours, and 172,500 JPY for 3 days / 15 hours. The base price is the same for 1–2 guests.

Yes. First-time skiers and snowboarders are welcome. Lessons can begin with equipment use, standing, stopping, moving and how to use the lifts.

Yes. Parents, children and families can join a private lesson together. We adjust the lesson as much as possible according to age and experience.

Yes. Lessons are taught by instructors with relevant ski or snowboard qualifications. However, one instructor teaches only one discipline during a lesson. If a group wants ski and snowboard instruction at the same time, two instructors are generally required.

Yes. Skis, snowboards, boots and other equipment can be rented at Kawahiro and other nearby rental shops. Rental fees are not included in the lesson price.

KRB has provided ski and outdoor services for international visitors since 2017, with Nozawa Onsen as a primary teaching location. We focus on private lessons and have extensive experience with beginners, children, families and overseas guests.

Take the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Iiyama Station, then take a bus from Iiyama Station to Nozawa Onsen.

For many first-time snow-sports guests, we recommend starting with skiing. Skiing generally makes it easier to remain standing and learn basic movement and stopping at the beginning.

KRB generally recommends starting ski lessons from around age 5. Children aged 3–4 may also be accepted depending on stamina and comfort in the snow. KRB has experience teaching 3-year-old children.

For cancellations made by the guest, the fee is 100% on the lesson day or the day before, 50% from 2–5 days before, 30% from 6–10 days before, and 10% from booking confirmation until 11 days before the lesson.

If lessons can still be conducted safely, we generally continue. If a suitable lesson cannot be held at Nozawa Onsen, we may move to another nearby ski resort and the guest is responsible for lift-ticket costs there. If safe snow-based instruction is still possible without lifts, the lesson may continue. A full refund is provided only when no safe lesson can be conducted.
